Steam Shower Door Installation with Transom Glass in New York, NY
Client Vision
The client wanted to upgrade their steam shower by installing a custom shower door with a transom glass window. Their goal was to maintain steam inside the shower when in use while allowing for easy ventilation by tilting the transom window. The design required custom hinges and a knob to allow smooth operation, combining functionality with an elegant appearance. By using 3/8″ tempered glass, the client ensured a durable and visually appealing solution that complemented their bathroom’s design.
Why Choose Steam Shower Doors with Transom Glass?
Steam shower doors with transom windows offer the perfect balance of functionality and style. The transom window acts as a vent, allowing steam to escape when tilted open, making it easier to control the temperature and humidity in the bathroom. Additionally, the use of tempered glass ensures safety, as this material is stronger than regular glass and shatters into small, less harmful pieces in the rare event of breakage. The addition of custom hardware, such as transom hinges and a knob, enhances the usability and appearance of the shower door. These features make it easy to adjust the transom window, ensuring optimal steam release and ventilation while maintaining a sleek and modern look.
Solution Provided
Our team started by taking precise measurements of the shower area to fabricate a custom steam shower door and transom window. The door and transom were crafted from high-quality 3/8″ tempered glass, sourced from a trusted Canadian manufacturer. The transom window was designed with custom hinges, allowing it to tilt open for ventilation. During installation, we carefully aligned the shower door and transom window, ensuring a seamless fit and smooth operation. The custom knob was installed on the transom window to provide easy access for opening and tilting. This attention to detail ensured that the final product met the client’s expectations for both functionality and style.
